Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing have joined forces to unveil a ground-breaking hypercar, the aptly-named Valkyrie (which, as everyone knows, is ancient mythology slang for ‘chooser of the slain’). The result is a feat of true Norse power: a road car with all-out racing pedigree. Modestly described as “revolutionary” by its makers, the AM-RB 001 will house a naturally-aspirated Cosworth 6.5-litre V12 that’s expected to break 900bhp. The Valkyrie is to be produced in a run of just 150 road cars, with 25 track-tuned specials also on the cards. First deliveries are due in 2019. What price immortal status you ask? An estimated £2-£3 million say we.
