One of the guiding tenets of Brogue is that good design can be brought to absolutely any object – and the new Forma grater by Alessi, crafted by none other than Zaha Hadid, is a perfect example of this belief. Although the Forma is part of the 2017 Spring/Summer collection, Hadid had worked previously with the brand on the 2003 Tea and Coffee Piazza, as well as its 2005 Crevasse Vase. The stainless steel Forma has been ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand making it extremely easy to use. The mirror-polished grater is paired with a sculptural black stand inspired “by the smoothly eroded forms found within nature”. Whatever the inspiration, it is time to throw away your standard rectangular version and trade up.
