While its competitors prefer to focus on making smaller better, Hasselblad is zooming in on the bigger picture. Its newest modular medium-format design is the enticingly-titled H6D-100c, which more than makes up for its trade catalogue name with its 100MP, 53.4 x 40mm CMOS sensor. Ultra high-def video, dual card slots and Hasselblad’s onboard editing software, Phocus, all come as standard – as does a handy three-inch touchscreen and eye-level HVD viewfinder. The shutter speed meanwhile accommodates both the dazzlingly brief (1/2000th of a second) and excruciatingly lengthy (60 minutes) ends of the spectrum, although for the latter Brogue recommends laying off the single-estate robusta.
