Hasselblad’s newest launch is undeniably one for the completists: a field kit comprising a camera, three lenses, spare battery, swappable carry straps, cleaning cloth, dust blower, lens pen, USB cable, plus a bespoke rugged-spec Pelican case to transport it all in. The camera isn’t just any old model either; the X1D-50c is a world first: a mirrorless medium-format design that somehow squeezes a 50MP sensor into an unfeasibly compact chassis. The three XCD lenses, meanwhile, are at the sharpest end of the precision glass business, covering off fixed focal lengths of 30mm, 45mm, and 90mm respectively. Billboard-grade photography in a box. What’s not to love?
