This is not merely a tricked out 650S. Created to mark the 20th anniversary of McLaren’s F1 GTR 24 Hours of Le Mans win, just 50 Le Mans specials will be made – all will be coupés. Among the additions will be front wings with louvres to reduce pressure over the wheels, increasing downforce, and lightweight wheels based on the sport rims fitted to McLaren’s 1995 racers. Carbon ceramic brakes are part of the package, as are the orange callipers. There’s a new carbon fibre front splitter, rear bumper and airbrake, while inside you can luxuriate in leather and Alcantara finishing. Brogue’s favourite embellishment, though, is the roof-mounted snorkel intake – seen on the original F1 GTR – that channels airflow to the 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine. Power and torque remains unchanged from the standard 650S, but seeing as this will launch you from zero to 62mph in three seconds and on to a top speed is 207mph, hopefully this will suffice.
