Pinch has been making beautiful and enduring furniture since 2004. For their latest creation, husband-and-wife team Russell Pinch and Oona Banno, turned to a water-based resin to create something that looks as if it was carved wholesale from a cliff face. The Nim table, with its rugged lava stone texture and tapered sides looks virtually immovable, but the hollow cast, hand-painted Jesmonite is surprisingly lightweight and, despite the 1000 x 410mm dimensions, verges on the practical. But don’t let that put you off.
